Day 3 - Monday 11th January 2016 - Nara to Kyoto

The Hotel Fujita Nara were we stayed was absolutely lovely hotel and a bar downstairs where I had my Whisky.  The room was also a good size.

This morning to Todai-ji Temple with the large Buddha but to get their we walk through Nara park. In this park there is over 1,200 wild sika deer (シカ or 鹿 shika) freely roaming around and are also classified as natural treasure. While the official size of the park is about 502 hectare, the area includes the grounds of Tōdai-jiKōfuku-ji, and Kasuga Shrine

The Buddha temple was amazing!

I also got this photo of a young woman in a kimono.

Later in the day we worked out that today in Japan was the coming of age day and maybe the reason why there were so many girls in Kimonos.

We then found 2 fabric shops in Nara and caught the train to Kyoto.

We are now in Kyoto having a stitch and bitch.

 Love Cherie
